Race report by Michał Milanowicz
Polish National Championships Rd2 was held this past weekend at outdoor track in town Ruda Śląska in Poland. The track was very big with a lot of long straight where speed was important. After few practice laps I managed to get use to the speed and found a nice setup for the long straight with big turns where speed and grip was needed. Unfortunately I didn't manage to get the TQ due to my lack of grip on the rear on the turns.

The Polish National Championships in formula class is tricky, you can use max 17,5T motor, foam or rubber tires and timing on ESC. So every driver was driving on different settings and it was hard to compare to other drivers.

The event was separated in two days: Saturday with qualification and Sunday with finals.

On the qualification I started with my last used asphalt setup. I was trying to gain more grip on the rear but had no idea where to search. Ended the qualification on 3rd spot. It wasn't my lucky race this time, had a lot of problems with the rear tires (unglued or damage).

On Sunday we started the finals
A1 - for me it was a failure, after one lap my rear tires unglued from the inside and didn't finish this final.

A2 - still missing rear grip and on every turn I had to drive carefully not to spin out from the track. My careful driving didn't help me in winning this final and ended up on 4th spot.

A3 - the last final was important for me because I still had a chance to be on the podium. But again I was missing rear grip and had to take it easy on the turns. Ended this final on 3rd spot giving me overall 5th spot in this event.

After this race I came to a conclusion that it's always better to start from a basic setup and then search for a better setting, then start the race from my last used setup. From a basic setup it's easier to find a better setup for the track.

Now it's time to get ready for the next round which gonna take place in town Jelcz-Laskowice in Poland on the 25-26.06.2016. This time I gonna be better prepared and gonna fight for the win.
